The Dallas Wings finished their season with the worst record in the WNBA, 10-34. For this reason, it was no surprise that they once again earned the first pick in the 2026 draft.

The arrival of Paige Bueckers helped the team, but despite her incredible personal numbers, she couldn’t prevent the team from falling. Now, her former UConn Huskies teammate and rumored love interest, Azzi Fudd, could join the team. Or so believes a teammate of Caitlin Clark from the Indiana Fever.

Aliyah Boston predicted that the two will be teammates

The Fever center and co-host of the “Post Moves” podcast with Candace Parker, Boston said that the Wings will use their No. 1 pick to select Azzi Fudd to reunite her with Bueckers:

I could see them going with Azzi at number one,” Aliyah said. “Like, I can see it. So I mean, we’re not surprised because they did have the worst record for a little minute, but I could see them going with Azzi still number one.”

This way, if Azzi becomes a Dallas player, her talent as a shooter could be a perfect fit with the 23-year-old star point guard, who averaged 19.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 36 games with the team this year. However, this will depend on Arike Ongunbowale, because if she decides to sign with another team in free agency, Bueckers could take her place.

However, Parker believes that Fudd could also fit in with the Minnesota Lynx in second place, and third with the Seattle Storm, and proposed Olivia Miles as the Wings’ choice.

The TCU Horned Frogs player is a pure point guard, which would benefit the team if they want Paige to play shooting guard, and that is why Candace also sees her as a possibility for Dallas.

During their time at UConn, Paige and Azzi won the NCAA National Championship together during Bueckers’ last season on the team after a three-year drought, and their chemistry on the court is undeniable.

Meanwhile, before the start of a new WNBA season, Bueckers and Boston will participate in Unrivaled, the league co-founded in 2023 by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, which will begin in January 2026.

Paige will belong to the Breeze team, alongside Aari McDonald (Fever) and Cameron Brinck (LA Sparks), while AB will play for Phantom, accompanied by Kelsey Plum (LA Sparks) and Natasha Cloud (NY Liberty).
