Another loss stands in Indiana Fever’s way and it’s the team’s second straight loss.

They came from beating the dreaded New York Liberty (102-88) and Connecticut Sun (88-71), but Golden State Valkyries cut their winning streak (88-77) and recently against Las Vegas Aces they did the same, closing the game 89-81.

Aliyah Boston shined the most in this game, with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Kelsey Mitchell also added 20 points and 2 assists and rebounds. However, it was not enough to beat their rivals.

Caitlin Clark did not have a good night, despite her 19 points, 10 assists and 3 rebounds. CC made 1 of 10 three-pointers in this game and seems to be dragging a bad streak, since in the game against Valkyries, she made 0 of 7 three-pointers.

With this loss, the Fever accumulate more games lost than won, with a record of 6-7.

Fans are not happy and want a change

This situation does not make the fans happy, and they are not at all happy. In addition to Clark’s bad streak, there is the fact of not being able to sustain the victory in the last quarter, even after dominating the first three, as it happened in the last two games.

That is why the fans have been asking for a change: they want Stephanie White to resign. And we’ve already seen this movie. Even with Christie Sides leading the team to the Playoffs and taking the record from 3-10 to 20-20, she was fired. The public clamored for Lisa Bluder, but she never came.

Bluder is responsible for the acquisition of Caitlin by Iowa, where per game played she averaged 28.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.1 rebounds and is the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history with 3951 points. For this reason, it is not surprising that, who guided her to achieve these numbers, can do it again in Indiana.

“IndianaFever either bring back christy sides or hire Lisa Bluder and Dump Stephanie White”, “Please bring in Lisa Bluder”, “Lisa Bluder Can Bring Out The Best In Caitlin!!!”, said some fans on X.

However, and to their misfortune, Lisa officially retired last year, leaving a career with 884 wins. Of course, she may return to directing, although this is not a very likely option or one that should give fans hope.

Beyond the anger and trying to find a responsible party, White has done a great job with Sun, his previous team. She had a 55-25 record in the regular season, a 7-7 record in the playoffs (with two semifinals), and in 2023 was named the WNBA Coach of the Year.

In addition to the aforementioned problems, White also has personal issues that have caused her to miss two games. So, although a 6-7 record is not the Fever’s dream, it is not that bad and they could solve it before the end of the month if they can beat Seattle Storm on tuesday 24th, Los Angeles Sparks on thursday 26th and Dallas Wings on friday 27th of June. Will they manage to improve their numbers?
