Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are well-known for their ability to command attention both on and off the sidelines.

But now, their significant others-Jarret Stoll and Steven Cundari-are stepping into the spotlight with an ambitious new project: The Plus One Podcast. The concept? A humorous and on-brand look at life as “plus ones” in the high-profile world of sports and entertainment.

In a lighthearted moment on Andrews’ Calm Down podcast, she joked about the situation.

“They are our plus ones to events like this because there are plenty of other times in life where we are their plus ones,” she explained.

The podcast promises to bring humor and insight while showcasing the unique perspective Stoll and Cundari have from their ringside seats at some of the biggest events in sports and entertainment.

Competition in the Podcasting world is fierce

However, The Plus One Podcast is entering a saturated field. Even without factoring in Andrews and Thompson’s own successful podcast, the competition is stiff. Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights has quickly become a fan favorite, while Kylie Jenner’s NGL podcast shattered expectations by quickly outpacing Joe Rogan’s show.

But that doesn’t seem to be discouraging Stoll and Cundari. They’re entering the fray with big ambitions, starting with an aspirational guest list that includes none other than Taylor Swift. As Thompson cheekily mentioned, their dream guest lineup includes “Howie Long’s wife Diane Long” and-yes-Taylor Swift, “because she’s Travis Kelce’s plus one.”

Swift’s relationship with Kelce has already made waves in the NFL, so the idea of her appearing on any media project-especially a podcast-is a potential cultural event in itself.

Taylor Swift’s influence is nothing short of a phenomenon, and Andrews and Thompson know it all too well. As proud Swifties, they have seen firsthand the power the pop star has.

When Swift attended a Chiefs game, Kelce’s jersey sales saw a 400% increase, and Andrews even defended Swift after she was booed during Super Bowl LIX, calling out the absurdity of booing “the most famous, amazing woman in the world.”

While Stoll and Cundari’s chances of landing an interview with Taylor Swift may be slim-given her immense star power and packed schedule-their ambition is evident. Erin and Charissa, veterans of the entertainment and sports industries, know that success often starts with big dreams. And even if the Taylor Swift interview doesn’t materialize anytime soon, the excitement around the Plus One Podcast speaks to the potential the show holds.
