After Gervonta Davis’ forgettable performance against Lamont Roach Jr, it seems that Edgar Berlanga has no respect for the Baltimore native, leaving him far behind in a ranking.

It should be remembered that in the fight on March 1, ‘Tank’ retained his WBA lightweight title when he should have lost it to a perplexed Roach who saw the referee not finish the count for Davis, who allegedly had something in his eye, and if he had done so would have ended up counting for the scorecards, thus breaking the majority draw.

Puerto Rican boxer, who achieved a great third-round knockout victory over his compatriot Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz, recently appeared in a DAZN Boxing video, ranking the boxers according to his perception of their boxing skills.

“The Chosen One” placed Davis in level D, among the worst in the ranking, putting him on par with KSI, a YouTuber and rapper turned boxer.

While he placed Jake Paul, another YouTuber who has donned the gloves and even fought Mike Tyson, in the S level, as the best boxer.

The future of Berlanga

After his victory over Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz, “El Elegido” could face boxers such as Caleb Plant, Jermall Charlo and Jaime Munguia, according to the sports media outlet.

Berlanga enjoyed his fight against Canelo Alvarez

Although the first defeat of his career was against Mexican Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, the pugilist believes that his confidence was elevated to a new level after that fight and he confesses that he had fun in the ring that day.

The Puerto Rican considers the fight to have been a turning point. “My confidence is on another level now. I feel like I went from high school to college overnight. It was a radical change for me,” Berlanga told The Ring.

“It was the first time in my career that I had fun in the ring,” the boxer added. “We were talking nonsense and making fun of each other. It was like two brothers fighting.”
