Eddie Hearn threatened to pull Katie Taylor out of her post-fight press conference after she defended her undisputed lightweight championships after the boxing promoter wasn’t allowed to see her by Jake Paul’s team.

The 38-year-old Irishwoman won a controversial unanimous decision victory, despite being docked a point, at the AT&T Stadium on Friday, November 15 as all three judges scored the bout 95-94 in her favor.

So as she went to address the media after defending her belts again, Matchroom’s Hearn got into an argument with Most Valuable Promotions after they allegedly rejected his right to speak at the conference.

In response, Hearn, who also represents Anthony Joshua, Shakur Stevenson and Jaron Ennis, said he would take Taylor out of the conference and thus deny the media the right to talk to her and hand MVP a big blow.

“We’re leaving,” Hearn says in a clip obtained by Boxing King Media. He is then goaded by Brian Peters, another of Taylor‘s promoters, who accuses him of trying to “act the s**t” and offers an ultimatum of three people attended the conference or zero.

Hearn made his call by responding to Peter‘s ultimatum by saying, “Oh no, we will. We’re leaving.”

Taylor reacts to victory

In the end, Taylor did attend the press conference and got to reflect on an emotional victory for the 38-year-old, despite Serrano accusing the judges of being “shady” and accusing her of an intentional headbutt.

The European was deducted a point her the head clash but eventually went on to claim the 95-94 victory over 10 rounds and she strenuously denied that she used underhanded tactics to beat her opponent.

“I knew it was an absolute slugfest in there, an absolute war,” Taylor said. “I definitely didn’t agree with the point deduction.

“I certainly wasn’t fighting dirty. Sometimes it gets rough in there.”
