Draymond Green has addressed the drama surrounding the negotiation between Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors, making it clear that although the process is complex, there are reasons to be optimistic.
“Negotiations are rarely easy, but they usually get resolved in the end,” Green wrote on Threads, responding to a fan concerned about the young forward’s future.
The conflict between Kuminga and the Warriors
Since the start of the offseason, Kuminga and the Warriors have been at a standstill. The team has extended a qualifying offer that the player is unwilling to accept, while Kuminga is seeking a more prominent role that, according to him, has not been provided. For their part, Golden State is considering a possible trade as a solution.
The arrival of Jimmy Butler III has further complicated the situation, reducing Kuminga’s minutes in Steve Kerr’s rotation. Despite this, the young player remains ambitious: he wants to become an All-Star and is not willing to settle for a secondary role.
Stephen Curry backs Kuminga
Amid the uncertainty, Stephen Curry has shown support for Kuminga, highlighting his professionalism and readiness. “That’s tough for any player, especially for a young guy trying to find his place in the league.
