Drake Maye has New England Patriots fans very excited, as they should be. It’s the first time since Tom Brady left the franchise that the Patriots seem truly close to finding TB12’s successor.

Maye is following in Brady’s footsteps

Then comes Drake Maye, a signal caller who, in just his second year in the NFL, has brought stability to the Patriots’ offense and given the team the possibility of building something great around him.

In this Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, Maye has the opportunity to break one of Brady’s records. A clear sign of the great moment he’s living right now.

Maye has thrown for 200 or more yards with a completion percentage of 70% or higher in four straight games, according to NBC Sports research.

He has already tied Brady’s record for the longest such streak in franchise history.

The legendary Patriots QB set this record twice, during the 2007 and 2017 seasons. In both campaigns, he won the MVP and led the Patriots to the Super Bowl.
