Drake has once again turned a fashion faux pas into a viral sensation

On this occasion, it all started with the controversial Texas Rangers hat, designed in the Overlap 5950 series

The design had an obvious problem: the “T” in “TEXAS” overlapped with the “X”, forming the word “Tetas”, which in Spanish is a colloquial term for breasts

Although the franchise pulled the hat from official retailers, it became a coveted item, with prices on eBay reaching $1,000.

When Drake shared a photo on Instagram wearing the hat, the reaction was immediate. Fans rushed to comment, mocking the design, but also applauding the way the rapper turned this MLB “slip-up” into a viral moment.

“Of course he did,” wrote one follower, acknowledging that it was not surprising that Drake would appropriate such a ridiculous accessory to turn it into a trend

This is not the first case of a design error in MLB. The previous year, the Oakland Athletics faced a similar controversy when their logo inadvertently spelled “A*s”

Despite the problems, the Rangers opted for a more low-key approach, claiming they did not realise the blunder until the hat was thrown into the crowd.

In addition, many fans took the opportunity to joke about Drake’s sporting alliances, which often seem to change depending on the fashionable or winning team. This has led some to dub him “the curse of sport”.

However, what began as a design flaw became a fashion symbol thanks to the influence of Drake

His use of the hat, whether or not it is part of an April Fool’s joke, has made the Texas Rangers’ “Tetas” more famous than ever. As always, Drake has managed to turn anything into a fashion statement.
