Tiger Woods returned to the course to do what he loves most, which is to showcase his talent. However, he is still dealing with the aftereffects of the back surgery he underwent in October 2025.
Despite ongoing discomfort and a recovery process that is still underway, Tiger was able to take part in the Tiger Golf League Finale on March 24, 2026. That appearance excited his fans, who hoped he would be ready for the upcoming tournaments.
The Masters is just two weeks away, and everything seemed to indicate that the GOAT of golf would be prepared to compete. However, it now appears that will not be the case, leaving many fans heartbroken.
I’ve been trying.”…”This body just doesn’t recover like it did when I was 24 or 25. I want to play. I love the tournament. I love being there since I was 19 years old. I’m going to be there either way.
Tiger stated.
Will Tiger Woods play in the Masters at Augusta?
According to Fox News, Tiger Woods’ participation in the Masters at Augusta is not guaranteed. On that matter, Donald Trump was clear in saying that the golfer will not take part in the event.
I love Tiger, but he won’t be there.”… “Well, he’ll be there, but he won’t be playing in it.
Trump said this when asked about who he would be supporting. He chose not to answer directly and added:
They’re just great players.”…”It’s hard for me. If I pick somebody, I’m going to have enemies, I’m going to have 10 guys who won’t speak to me.
It is worth recalling that Tiger is currently in a relationship with Vanessa, who is Trump’s former daughter-in-law.
His participation in the TGL this past Tuesday marked his return to competition, reigniting the passion of his followers. However, it appears that a full return to PGA Tour events is still some distance away.
The road to recovery has been long for Woods following his latest surgery, adding to the extensive list of health challenges he has faced over the years.
Even so, he remains determined to continue working hard on his rehabilitation in hopes of returning to top-level competition as soon as possible.
