The reigning MLB champions need to make desperate moves to strengthen their roster for the playoffs and their quest for a second consecutive World Series. On the final day of player trades, the Los Angeles Dodgers have sent starting pitcher Dustin May to the East Coast, where from August 1 he will don the jersey of the Boston Red Sox.
Dustin May has been with the Los Angeles Dodgers since 2019, where in that time he has started 52 games from the mound in 65 appearances with a balance of 18 wins and 16 losses. In his time on the West Coast, he pitched 295.2 innings where he allowed 241 hits, 134 runs and 35 home runs for an ERA of 3.71. During this time, he struck out 271 batters and walked 100. Now for the first time, the right-handed pitcher will change scenery and it will be with one of MLB’s historic franchises in the Fenway Park team.
