The Los Angeles Dodgers lost the chance for a no-hitter in the ninth inning for the second time in three days. Tyler Glasnowpitched seven innings without allowing a hit and struck out 11, but they could not complete the first no-hitter of the 2025 Major League Baseball season.
The no-hitter opportunity was broken up by Colorado Rockies infielder Ryan Ritter, who doubled to left field off Dodgers closer Tanner Scott to lead off the top of the ninth inning.
Last Saturday, September 6, 2025, Yoshinobu Yamamoto was one out away from recording a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles, but it was broken up by a home run by Jackson Holliday. The Orioles then went on to win the game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ 27 no-hitters is still the most in Major League Baseball history. The Dodgers’ last no-hitter came on May 4, 2018, when Walker Buehler and three relievers shut out the San Diego Padres.
