A day after notching his 100th victory at Roland Garros, Novak Djokovic wanted to remember his great rival Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard celebrates his 39th birthday on Tuesday (his first as a retired player) and the Serb congratulated him through social media with a photograph together at the last Laureus ceremony held in Madrid. It was another gesture of fair play from the best player in history.
On Monday, Djokovic became only the second player, after Nadal, to collect 100 victories on the clay-court ‘Grand Slam’ courts
In the same way, with his title in Geneva, he surpassed the Spaniard in the historical record for the most consecutive seasons (20) winning a tournament on the calendar
