Josh Allen might be the MVP on the field, but off the field, his fiancée is having a major moment of her own. Fresh off a tough AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Allen closed out his season by securing a massive contract extension and proposing to longtime girlfriend, actress Hailee Steinfeld.

While Allen gears up for another shot at the Super Bowl, Steinfeld is making waves in Hollywood. She’s the star of Sinners, a gritty new thriller directed by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) and co-starring Michael B. Jordan. The movie drops April 18, but it’s something Steinfeld did-not said-that has Marvel fans spiraling.

At a recent Sinners press event, a fan tossed her a loaded question: “Will we see Kate Bishop in the Avengers?”Steinfeld didn’t answer out loud-but she did nod. Briefly. Maybe even accidentally.

And that’s all it took.

The nod seen ’round the Internet

The clip quickly made the rounds on social media. Fans latched onto the subtle nod, speculating that Steinfeld had just confirmed her return to the MCU. “Her face of instant regret, she’s 100% in it,” one user posted. Others cheered the possibility of seeing Kate Bishop join the next Avengers lineup.

While Steinfeld’s nod might have been meant for someone else entirely, it added fuel to the ongoing conversation about Avengers: Doomsday (2026) and Secret Wars (2027)-two major Marvel projects still shrouded in mystery. Steinfeld was notably absent from the official Doomsday cast announcement, which raised eyebrows considering how The Marvels seemed to set up a Young Avengers storyline with her at the center.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige is, unsurprisingly, staying quiet. “We reveal things when they’re ready,” he told Entertainment Weekly last month. “Not before.”

That hasn’t stopped fans from reading into every possible clue. Reddit threads, TikTok breakdowns, and even sports sites (like us) have started tracking Steinfeld’s every Marvel move-proof that her star power is climbing in a big way.

Whether the nod was intentional or not, the internet has made up its mind: Kate Bishop is coming back. And if so, Josh Allen may not be the only MVP in that relationship after all.
