When Brian Daboll arrived at the New York Giants in 2022, there was hope for a change after many frustrating years in the franchise, and the impact was immediate. After that success, Daniel Jones signed a four-year, $160 million extension, but everything soon fell apart. Despite the hope generated after the great 2022 season, the franchise’s decline has not stopped: between 2023 and 2024, the Giants only won nine games, and in some, they didn’t even compete.

Things are not good in the locker room, and Dexter Lawrence, defensive leader, said in a blunt tone that it wasn’t his decision: “It ain’t my call. He’s my quarterback now, so we’ll be by his side and roll with him until the end.”
