Once again, “King Henry” reminded football fans why he remains royalty in the rushing game, despite the toll of time. Against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football, Henry ripped through Buffalo’s defense for Baltimore’s first score of the season, launching his clash of generations with a stiff arm that cleared the path to history. That 30 yard jaunt not only electrified the opener, it moved Henry past a legend and deeper into the conversation among the all-time greats.
Henry surpasses Jim Brown
The breakaway play came early in the second quarter: Henry took the handoff, delivered a textbook stiff arm to Bills safety Cole Bishop, and sprinted into the end zone.
The score boosted the Ravens to a 10-7 lead and, more importantly, marked Henry’s 107th career rushing touchdown, elevating him into sole possession of sixth place on the NFL’s all-time rushing TD leaderboard. The milestone puts him just a few touchdowns behind icons like Walter Payton and Adrian Peterson.
A statement of longevity
Henry’s explosive opener wasn’t just about the scoreboard, it’s a strong early signal of why he remains one of the league’s most unstoppable forces. In his opening half alone, he amassed over 100 yards, his 48th career 100 yard rushing game. He surpassed Hall of Famers Franco Harris and LaDainian Tomlinson for eleventh most in NFL history.
Coming off a 2024 season in which he rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns as a Raven and secured a two year, $30 million extension, Henry continues to defy age while touring the record books with elite consistency.
