The first half of the 2025 MLB regular season is already in the books, and soon the action will return for all 30 Major League teams, with the conclusion of the All-Star break on Tuesday night. The macro event ended with the National League as the winner of the competition.

Before the second half of the season, former New York Yankees superstar shortstop Derek Jeter revealed his prediction for the World Series, which he shared after the National League defeated the American League in the Midsummer Classic at Truist Park in Atlanta.
Known as “The Captain,” Jeter also chose the Chicago Cubs to represent the National League in the Fall Classic, which seemingly adds pressure on New York general manager Brian Cashman ahead of the Aug. 1 trade deadline.

It was a tough day for Fried. He allowed four runs (three earned) and made 73 pitches during those innings. Fried realized something was wrong with his finger on the penultimate pitch he threw to Jon Berti in the third inning. That’s when he realized a blister was forming.
