Rumors linking Deion Sanders to the Las Vegas Raiders coaching job have ignited a wave of speculation. Notably absent from that list is Sanders.
While the Raiders may not be courting Sanders, the idea of him leaving Colorado has captivated fans for months. Sanders has previously addressed NFL rumors with firm dismissals. Speaking with former teammate Michael Irvin last November, Sanders expressed his satisfaction in Boulder, stating, “I love it where I am.” He even reiterated this sentiment on Good Morning America recently, emphasizing his commitment to the Buffaloes program and the community in Colorado.
Sanders isn’t shutting the door completely
However, Sanders did leave a small window of possibility, admitting he would only consider an NFL opportunity under one condition: the chance to coach both his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, on the same team. “Not son, but SONS,” Sanders emphasized. With Shedeur emerging as one of the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft, some speculate that the timing of a move to the NFL could align.
