Deion Sanders, the Pro Football Hall of Famer and current head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, enters a new chapter in 2025, one without two of his star sons on the field with him. Shedeur Sanders, once projected as a first-round or even top-five NFL draft pick, slipped to the fifth round, where he was selected by the Cleveland Browns. Now Shedeur faces a crowded quarterback room, competing against the injured Deshaun Watson (whom the Browns’ owner has publicly called a signing mistake), 17-year veteran Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, a Heisman finalist from Oregon.

While Shedeur and Shilo battled for spots on their NFL teams in different cities, Deion was joined by his oldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., with whom he shares a close bond. In a video posted on Deion’s Instagram, the two sat together on a couch, with Deion dressed in a sharp blue suit and Deion Jr. wearing high-end branded clothing.
Deion delivered a poignant, faith-filled message about family unity, saying, “Family, what happened to us, why is it like this & don’t we understand what FAMILY means? We used to fight but we had peace, we used to act but we didn’t mean it & now we’re separated by stupidity that we can’t explain. Let’s get back to FAMILY! We need each other”.
