Las Vegas will welcome its boxing season this Saturday, February 1 with a card headlined by the fight David Benavidez vs David Morrell at the T-Mobile Arena, an event that will feature an unmissable undercard.
David Benavidez will step into the ring to face a Cuban who represents a significant risk, not only because of his punching power and better footwork, but also because a defeat for the ‘Mexican Monster’ would take him even further away from his goal of facing Canelo Alvarez, who is asking for 200 million dollars to accept the challenge.
Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) is the interim WBC super middleweight champion and will look to take the regular WBA world title from Morrell (11-0, 9 KOs). In addition to the unfinished business with Canelo, ‘Red Flag‘ also needs a win to face the winner of the fight in which Artur Beterbiev, as undisputed champion of the division, will put his titles on the line against Dmitry Bivol on February 22 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
