The Dallas Cowboys continue to make signings and trades for the next season of the National Football League (NFL). A reliable source within the franchise clarified the rumor about the possible arrival of a running back to the team, a position that is among the most talked about around the Texas team.

Many are not convinced that Miles Sanders, Javonte Williams, and Jaydon Blue are the three best. Some want more, while others want the Cowboys to trade for a running back. Regarding this, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox wants Dallas to call the Jacksonville Jaguars and acquire one of their players.

Which running back is likely to land in the Dallas Cowboys?

“The Dallas Cowboys should already be inquiring about Travis Etienne‘s availability,” Knox wrote. “They currently have a backfield headlined by Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders-two big unknowns, given their recent production-and have shown a willingness to trade talent after the draft.”

After back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons early in his NFL career, Etienne hit a wall last year, recording just 558 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games. He played second fiddle to Tank Bigsby last season, likely leading to a decline in his production, in addition to injuries.

Javonte Williams is one of the Dallas Cowboys’ reinforcements

It’s important to remember that the Dallas Cowboys entered free agency to bolster their NFL offense. Unfortunately for Lone Star fans, however, the move doesn’t involve big names, but rather running back Javonte Williams, who signed a one-year, three-million-dollar contract.

Coming from the Broncos, Williams arrived to look to establish a place in the offense. His time in Denver wasn’t entirely exciting, going from strength to strength, during a stay marked by a serious knee injury that nearly cost him his career.
