Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is having a special year both on and off the field. In seven games played in the 2025 NFL season, the three-time Pro Bowl selection has shown why he remains one of the most solid pieces of the Texas franchise.
With 185 completions on 259 attempts (71.4%), 1,881 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, Prescott has led Dallas to a 3-3-1 record heading into the halfway point of the campaign. His most recent performance, in the 44-22 victory over the Washington Commanders, reaffirmed his great moment: he completed 21 of 30 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
A decade of Prescott with the Cowboys
Prescott arrived in the NFL in 2016 as a fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State. That same year, he surprised locals and strangers alike by taking the starting job and being named AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. Since then, the No. 4 has become the face of the Cowboys, leading an era marked by his consistency and commitment.
At 32 years of age, the quarterback is already in his tenth season in the league, and all indications are that he still has several chapters to write in Dallas. His leadership and ability to remain calm in decisive moments remain key to the aspirations of Mike McCarthy’s team.
Prescott, a proud father and family man
Off the field, Dak Prescott is going through a moment of personal fulfillment. In May 2025, along with his fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos, he welcomed his second daughter, Aurora, who joined her older sister Margaret Jane (MJ), born in February 2024.
The couple, who got engaged in October 2024, have openly shared their happiness through social media. In fact, Ramos, 31, recently responded to a question from a follower on Instagram about whether they planned to have more children:“Yes, we want two or three more,” he wrote, adding that he dreams of having a boy.
Prescott, for his part, was happy with the family life he is building. “He loves being a father to a little girl,” Ramos said, who also stressed that the most important thing for both of them is “to have healthy children and God’s provision”.
Next challenge: the Broncos
After the victory over Washington, Prescott and the Cowboys prepare for a tough matchup in NFL Week 8. The team will travel to Denver to face Bo Nix and the Broncos (5-2) at Empower Field at Mile High, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
The quarterback will look to maintain the momentum of recent weeks and continue to consolidate a season that, beyond the statistics, reflects his sporting and personal maturity.
