Dak Prescott is trading the “fishbowl” of Dallas for the greens of TPC Piper Glen this week, as he prepares to headline the 2026 G7 Legacy Golf Classic.
The celebrity tournament, hosted by backup quarterback and former teammate Will Grier on March 30, benefits the G7 Foundation’s mission of providing faith-based mentorship and football equipment to underserved youth.
Prescott, an avid golfer who once made headlines for draining a 65-foot putt at Stonebriar Country Club, sits atop a marquee lineup that includes Panthers legends Steve Smith Sr. and Jonathan Stewart, as well as current NFL stars George Pickens, Kyren Williams, and Kenny Pickett.
The event marks a significant public pivot for Prescott following a turbulent month in his personal life. The 32-year-old quarterback was originally scheduled to marry his longtime fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, in a lavish ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, on April 10.
However, the couple, who share two young daughters, Margaret Jane Rose and Aurora Rayne, shocked fans by calling off their engagement in early March. The split reportedly occurred after a “joint bachelor-bachelorette” trip to the Bahamas, where tensions reached a breaking point just weeks before the 250-guest event was set to take place.
Sarah Jane Ramos addresses prenup rumors
The fallout from the broken engagement has been fueled by intense speculation regarding the cause of the split. Initial reports suggested a disagreement over a prenuptial agreement following Prescott‘s massive $240 million contract extension with the Cowboys.
Ramos, however, took to social media to shut down those claims directly. Commenting on an Instagram post by the Speakeasy talk show, where co-hosts Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy discussed the rumor, Ramos wrote: “This had nothing to do with a prenup. I hope we can put that rumor to rest now.”
Subsequent reports from Page Six and TMZ Sports have alleged that the true cause of the breakup involved “ongoing infidelity issues.”
While a representative for Ramos initially described the split as a “mutual decision” between two “heartbroken” parents, insiders suggest that Ramos reached an ultimatum after previously hoping the relationship would improve for the sake of their family.
