Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys’ star quarterback, has publicly endorsed Brian Schottenheimer, the team’s current offensive coordinator, as the next head coach. This comes as the Cowboys search for a replacement following Mike McCarthy’s departure.

Prescott shared his support during a recent episode of the DLLS Cowboys Podcast, highlighting Schottenheimer’s readiness for the role. “He’ll be ready for the next step. He has the right personality and brain,” Prescott said after a text message, reflecting his confidence in Schottenheimer’s capabilities.

Since joining the team in 2022, Schottenheimer has played a pivotal role in Prescott’s success. Under his guidance, the quarterback achieved career-high stats in the 2023 season, with 410 completions, 4,516 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and only 9 interceptions. This strong partnership has significantly bolstered Schottenheimer’s candidacy for head coach.
