The internet erupted recently with claims of a mega-boxing match between Logan Paul and Conor McGregor at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium.
The fight, reportedly part of India’s‘Visit India’ tourism campaign, promised McGregor a staggering $250 million payday and the backing of billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
Jake Paul pops McGregor’s hype battle
However, Jake Paul and his promotion, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), are not buying it.
In a blunt response on Instagram, MVP labeled the news as ” [Cap emoji] on [Cap emoji] on [Cap emoji],” slang for a falsehood.
The comment immediately sparked a wave of speculation, with fans questioning the fight’s legitimacy.
Jake Paul, never one to shy away from controversy, followed up with a series of pointed comments, suggesting McGregor and his management have been lobbying MVP for a fight.
“Now it all makes sense,”Jake posted on X.
“Why Conor McGregor & his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us.”
According to Jake, McGregor’s rumored exhibition against Logan might be less about global spectacle and more about staying relevant in 2024.
While the McGregor-Logan matchup has generated buzz, Jake’s comments hint at a deeper rivalry.
He suggested that McGregor is “washed” and needs the Paul brothers to stay in the spotlight.
Jake even added, “Logan by however he wants,” dismissing McGregor’s chances.
Interestingly, Jake’s remarks may not be mere trolling.
Does Jake Paul want a shot at McGregor himself?
Reports suggest that the Ambani family, who are said to be bankrolling the event, might prefer Jake as McGregor’s opponent.
Jake’s history of calling out McGregor and his victories over UFC legends like Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz add credibility to his campaign.
As the rumors swirl, one thing is clear: the McGregor-Paul narrative is far from over.
Whether Logan or Jake ends up in the ring with McGregor, this ongoing saga continues to capture the combat sports world’s attention.
For now, MVP’s dismissal has cast doubt on the authenticity of the rumored fight, leaving fans wondering if this is just the prelude to a much bigger showdown.
