A few days ago, MARCA shared an article about the improbability of the boxing match between mixed martial arts exponent Conor McGregor and fighter and influencer Logan Paul, and in reality nothing has changed at least in the points that were analyzed on that occasion.
Conor McGregor is crying out for someone to take notice of him
However, in the recent promotion of the KnuckleMania 5 feature from Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, where his presence stands out, ‘The Notorious’ found a way to bring back to the mainstream the conversation about the much-discussed fight, with a harangue that rather sounded like a tantrum than a tangible possibility that could change the conditions that so far place this encounter as something almost unrealizable
Four words were enough for the Irishman to send a supposedly forceful message to the older of the Paul brothers, who is more concerned with his own business, and in creating a whole career in WWE, than in what Conor McGregor has to say about him: “Open your damn mouth” he shouted at him in front of a large number of media covering this new contact ‘sport’ that is gaining followers, partly thanks to him, who is co-owner.
“Logan just stayed quiet, didn’t say anything, I was like ‘dude, you need to say something, you need to open your damn mouth,” was the full message.
Neither Logan Paul nor anyone else has said anything
The supposed fight that only lives in McGregor’s imagination would take place in Mumbai, India, with the sponsorship of the multimillionaire Ambani family, who have not said a word about their involvement, nor has Dana White, who has not acknowledged that it will happen and even doubts the Irishman’s return to the UFC octagon until at least next autumn.
Basically, McGregor’s harangue to Logan Paul was also a promotional cry for his own company and it is enough to take up the words of the controversial ‘The Notorious’ to MMA journalist “The Schmo”: “It is what it is. The UFC is just not interested. The offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes are under the TKO banner (…) TKO Holding Group’s share price is through the roof. A new market opened up in India and it’s booming. It was a smart business decision and common sense to have the fight take place“.
