The NFL player faced the weight of the law this past Saturday, February 7, 2025, in Miami-Dade County after being involved in a domestic incident with the Los Angeles Sparks player, which quickly drew the attention of fans because her safety could have been at serious risk.
James Pearce Jr. faces several charges
The Falcons player now faces a lengthy list of charges imposed by the law for the domestic issue involving Jackson. Among them are aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated stalking.
As previously mentioned, it was this past Saturday, February 7, when police responded to a call involving a fight between a man and a woman, according to Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez.
The rookie later fled the scene when he saw officers arrive, which led to a pursuit that ended in a crash. After that, the Atlanta player was arrested and taken to the Turner Guilford Correctional Center without the possibility of bail.
The Falcons posted a statement on their social media accounts regarding the situation involving their player.
We are aware of an incident involving James Pearce Jr. in Miami.”…”We are in the process of gathering more information and will not have any further comment on an open legal matter at this time.
Several outlets reported that the woman involved in the dispute was Rickea Jackson
According to information released at the time by different media outlets, the woman involved in the altercation with Pearce Jr. was Rickea Jackson, who entered the WNBA in 2024.
