Ahead of what some fans hope will be a potential grudge match later this year, Chris Eubank Jr has hit out rival Conor Benn and his promoter Eddie Hearn on social media.

While Eubank Jr told Mail Sport over the weekend that he was ready to face Benn and that an announcement would be made in the coming weeks, nothing has been finalized as of yet.

That hasn’t stopped the 35-year-old from taking aim at Benn and Hearn on social media in an attempt to ramp up the bad blood between the two sides.

“Just so you all know… these two rats @ConorNigel & @EddieHearn are now trying to enforce a rehydration restriction on me to make the fight. They talk a big game but when it actually comes down to it… just a pair of p*****s,” he wrote on X.

According to ESPN, the fight between Eubank Jr and Benn could take place on April 26 in London.

While nothing is confirmed at this time, it is believed the fight would be at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds with a rehydration clause of 170 pounds.

Eubank Jr has voiced his displeasure at the idea of having his weight restricted for the second weigh-in, which would happen on the morning of the right, and his complaints could cause the fight to be delayed.

Benn hits back

As for Benn, he didn’t appreciate Eubank Jr’s comments and hit back by accusing his rival of ducking fights.

“You soft p***k I’m coming up 2 weights to fight you and I’m the p****? 10lbs rehydration because I’m already fighting a middleweight but you want to get in the ring as a light heavyweight? You are scared to death of (middleweight champion) Janibek (Alimkhanuly) and (Hamzah) Sheeraz so I’m your only option satsuma head,” Benn responded.

“And this is something you and your team agreed to on Saturday so don’t try and make out this is new. Stop being a pussy and sign the contract.”

The two rivals were first scheduled to meet in October 2022 but was cancelled the week of the fight after Benn failed two drug tests.

Benn instead he was innocent, but was then provisionally suspended and banned from fighting in the UK after giving up his British boxing licence.

The suspension was lifted in November which means Benn is now able to fight in the UK, opening the door for him and Eubank Jr to finally meet in the ring.
