If there is one rivalry that is quite entrenched in boxing, it is the one between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn, who after several setbacks and sanctions, will finally face each other in a fight that has been awaited since 2022.
Both fighters had a date in the ring in October 2022, but Conor Benn was sanctioned for a positive doping test, as he was found to have used clomiphene, a drug that increases the production of hormones or counteracts the effects of anabolic steroids.
After two years of sanctions, in addition to the various appeals that Benn’s team filed with the British sporting authorities, Benn’s sanction came to an end, so in 2025 he will be able to compete again for the continental welterweight title.
With Conor Benn’s return to the ring, promoters Eddie Hearn and Ben Shalom have resumed negotiations for Benn and Eubank Jr. to face each other, possibly at London’s O2 Arena.

As part of The Ring Award held in London, Eubank Jr. revealed to the Daily Mail that there will soon be news regarding his next fight, which will be one of the big fights for 2025.

In October 2024, Benn and Eubank Jr. had an unpleasant encounter in Saudi Arabia, so Connor Benn revealed that not only does he want to fight Eubank in 2025, he wants to face him twice, for which he promised to beat him in less than two rounds
“My next three fights: it has to be Marrio Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title and then it will be Chris Eubank. Beat him in two (rounds) and then Eubank again, beat him in one. Those are my three fights for 2025.”
