This week Sergio Perez visited Dodger Stadium to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Los Angeles vs. Philadelphia game; the Formula 1 driver was an honored guest at one of the most anticipated games of the campaign. Among the many questions asked of the Mexican driver was: ‘which player would you like to be if you dedicated your life to baseball?’.

Checo’s response made all the fans of the Queen Category and MLB react. It should be remembered that Perez, after finishing his relationship with Red Bull Racing, was in a break away from the track and his return to the Grand Circus was in suspense. It was not until the American Cadillac came along to give the Mexican a new seat in the Queen Category.

Sergio Perez praises Shohei Ohtani

Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez swapped the F1 paddock for the mound this week, throwing out the first ceremonial pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers game. But it wasn’t just his pitching that got him talking, but also his quick response when asked which MLB player he would like to be.

When asked during the Dodgers pregame show, “If you were a baseball player, who would you be?” Perez instantly replied: “Hopefully like (Shohei) Ohtani”. Perez praised the $700 million Dodgers superstar, who has redefined baseball with his unusual dominance in both directions.

Checo Perez will test a Ferrari loaned to Cadillac

Cadillac F1 will take its first step out of the simulator next week with Sergio “Checo” Perez at the wheel. According to Motorsport Italy, the Mexican will drive a Ferrari SF-23 at Silverstone that the American brand is said to have obtained through an agreement with Maranello, as it advances its entry as Formula 1’s 11th team in 2026.

On Wednesday, Perez attended the Los Angeles Dodgers’ opening pitch and revealed that he will first travel to Charlotte to work on the simulator and then to England to get into an F1 car. “I must start the preparation to be ready at the beginning of next year; the neck lost tonicity and I need to regain strength to drive an F1 well,” he said.
