Charlie Woods is set to return to the links for the first time since the passing of his grandmother, Kultida Woods, on February 4.
He will take part in the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship at TPC Myrtle Beach from February 28 to March 2.
The moment is a big one for the 16-year-old considering 31 of the top-50 junior players will be there. In the lead up to Charlie’s return, Tiger Woods’ clothing brand, Sun Day Red, released a trailer that has people talking.
“Next on the tee,” the post is captioned, with a reveal slated for February 18. The announcement has people wondering if Charlie is set to be a big part of the brand moving forward.
“Tiger Woods’ clothing brand Sun Day Red is teasing an announcement set for February 18th captioned ‘Next on the tee’ with the following photo,” the X account NUCLR GOLF posted on X.
Charlie has a connection with Sun Day Red
While Tiger has always been the face of the brand, the cryptic post has people wondering if Charlie could join him.
“Charlie duh,” wrote one fan over what the post means, with another adding: “Probably sponsoring Charlie.”
Another wrote: “Charlie is getting his NIL payments lined up early!”
Charlie already has a connection to Sun Day Red, with his relationship with the brand beginning at the 2024 PNC Championship.
His viral hole-in-one while wearing Sun Day Red gear made waves in the golf world. He also helped develop the Pioneer Cypress LE golf shoe, as revealed by Tiger.
Now, Charlie’s growing involvement with his dad’s brand looks set to grow as he prepares for a return to the greens at the DJ World Junior Championship.
However, there are some fans wondering if the silhouette could be linked to another golfer.
“Silhouette look like Scottie or Rory, wouldn’t be shocked if it’s Rory,” wrote one fan, while another said: “That’s a Scottie finish.”
Either way, fans won’t have to wait long to see the reveal with the countdown to the day already on.
