On August 28, 2025, the draw for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League group stage took place, where the 36 participating teams learned their fate for the most important club tournament in Europe, i.e. they already know who they will play against to advance in the competition.
It should be noted that the Champions League brings together the most important teams from the European leagues, as it is made up of the champions of each country, as well as the teams that qualified by winning a special cup or trophy. It is undoubtedly the highest level competition in the world.

What are the groups for the 2025-26 Champions League?
The 36 participating teams were divided into four pots based on their individual coefficient ranking, with the reigning UEFA Champions League champions being the top seed in Pot 1.
Starting with pot 1, a physical ball was drawn before the automated software – already used last year – selected eight rivals for each team.
Each team will face two teams from each of the four pots, with one match at home and one away.
Teams from the same federation will not face each other, nor will more than two opponents from the same federation
