The Face of Boxing is just a few weeks away from returning to the ring. On May 3, the boxing world will come to a halt in order to watch Canelo Alvarez in action again. Taking on William Scull with all of the world title belts on the line. Scull isn’t a high-profile opponent, but Alvarez isn’t looking past him.
With Terence Crawford lurking at the end of the year, Alvarez has work to do first. He isn’t taking Scull lightly, as he has posted several pictures and videos throughout his training camp in the lead-up to the fight. The 34-year-old appears locked in and in tremendous shape. Despite his laser-focus, Alvarez knows when to turn it off and let loose.

There was one particular moment that stood out during a recent training session. While doing a drill with a ricocheting punching bag, Alvarez made the cameraman flinch by faking that he was going to punch him.
Everyone laughed, but in reality, the cameraman looked extremely frightened. A punch from Canelo would cause serious pain, particularly in the sensitive area Alvarez seemed to be aiming for.
Canelo couldn’t help but crack a smile, knowing he got the exact reaction he wanted. It goes to show that Alvarez isn’t always 100 percent serious. Even while training, he knows when to let his guard down, especially with members of his team.
