Mexican boxer Saul Canelo Alvarez is undoubtedly a money-making machine, but the profits he generates are not only for him but also for his opponents.

A faithful reflection of this reality are the cases of Jaime Munguia and Edgar Berlanga, who after challenging Canelo for the title (both without luck) took a good fortune that allowed them to indulge in certain luxurious tastes.

Both agree on tastes and give each other the same gift

What draws attention is that the Mexican boxer and the Puerto Rican acquired the same truck and even showed it off on the same day.

Both Jaime Munguia and Edgar Berlanga bought a Tesla Cybertruck, a vehicle from Elon Musk’s automotive brand, and showed it off, as if they had agreed, on the same day on their Instagram social media accounts.

While Edgar Berlanga showed off his new Tesla Cybertruck with a brief but very patriotic message, “P FKN R”, accompanied by the Puerto Rican flag, Munguia was more extensive and explicit. “New stroller. Tesla for Jaimito. For the record, he asked for it for Christmas.”

This is how Jaime Munguia explained on his Instagram account that the gift was actually for his son, of the same name, whom he also showed off getting to know the new vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Puerto Rican Berlanga, in addition to the new truck, can be seen with ostentatious jewelry, such as watches, chains, rings and bracelets that attract attention.

The earnings from his fight against Canelo

Jaime Munguia for his fight against Canelo Alvarez in May 2024, in which he lost his unbeaten record, took home around $10 million guaranteed for stepping into the ring against his compatriot, the highest figure he has earned in his entire professional boxing career.

While there is no official figure, it is rumored that Berlanga, who also lost by unanimous decision to Canelo, could earn between one and three million dollars for the fight against Canelo Alvarez on September 14, enough to cover those expenses, since the truck ranges from 99,990 to 119,990 dollars.
