Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is undoubtedly the most prominent Mexican boxer of the last 15 years at least, with the Guadalajara native always being the main attraction on the big boxing cards that are fought in the most iconic and grandiose venues in the world, earning hundreds of millions of dollars in the process.

Despite all the fame and money that Canelo has amassed throughout his career, he still remains a family-oriented and home-loving person, and wherever the boxer goes to perform, we can see that he is always accompanied by them, but who are these family members who are always by Canelo’s side?

Who is Canelo Alvarez’s family?

The boxer from Jalisco is almost always accompanied by his wife Maria Fernanda and his daughter, who bears the same name as her mother. It is also common to see his daughter Emily Cinnamon, the boxer’s eldest daughter with whom he had with his ex-partner Karen Beltran, who is seen supporting him in his fights.

It should be remembered that Canelo has two other children with other women, Mia Ener and Saul Adiel, but they and their mothers do not usually appear in the spotlight when Canelo has fights.

Sometimes Canelo takes ‘the whole troop’

There are times when Canelo does not skimp on expenses and takes practically the entire extended family to his fights, such as when he fought Gennady Golovkin in 2022

For that fight, in which he completed his trilogy against GGG, the Mexican took a total of 40 of his family members to Las Vegas, Nevada to see his fight against the Kazakh.

On that occasion, his eight siblings traveled with him, a total of 29 nephews and nieces, his mother Ana Maria Barragan, as well as, of course, his wife Maria Fernanda and his daughters Maria Fernanda and Emily Cinnamon.
