Cam Skattebo is drawing attention off the field as the New York Giants running back shifts his focus toward a new online venture.
With his rookie season cut short by a severe ankle injury, the 23 year old has launched a YouTube channel, marking a temporary change of direction while he rehabilitates.
His new platform, Sk4ttP4ck, has already begun generating interest. The channel’s launch was promoted by his father, Leo Skattebo III, who encouraged fans to support the project.
Skattebo plans to create a mix of long form videos and shorter comedic content, offering a glimpse into his personality away from football.
Although he created the channel in January, Skattebo waited nearly a year before releasing his first clips. One YouTube Shorts video in particular circulated widely after he posed a playful question about the “proper” way to eat a taco.
“Do you like, turn your head to eat a taco, or do you turn the taco for you? Like, are you dominant to the taco, or does the taco, like, do you turn your head for the taco?” he asked, before adding, “It’s about the dominance of the taco, though, like if you’re not, if you’re turning the taco, you’re dominating the taco.”
The moment originated from a recent Twitch livestream, where Skattebo has also been active during his injury layoff. Whether this creative path becomes a long term pursuit will depend largely on how quickly he can return to full football activity.
Severe ankle damage halts a rising rookie season
Skattebo had been one of the Giants‘ most effective playmakers before suffering his injury in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Across eight games, he recorded 410 rushing yards, five touchdowns and contributed another 207 yards as a receiver.
The injury occurred during a second quarter tackle, when his ankle bent at an alarming angle. Medical staff fitted an air cast on the field, and further evaluation confirmed a dislocation, fractures and ligament damage. He underwent surgery shortly after the game.
Head coach Bryan Daboll has emphasized the lengthy road ahead, while medical specialist Dr. Gonzalez Lomas told The Post that a July 2026 return is possible.
For now, the recovery timeline remains the defining factor in determining what comes next for Cam Skattebo.
