Caitlin Clark’s first season in the WNBA was a tale of two extremes. On one hand, she shattered records, led Indiana to the playoffs, and earned Rookie of the Year honors. On the other, she struggled against the physicality of veteran players. But that won’t happen again-at least, not if the latest photos of the Fever star are any indication.

Clark and her team are just days away from the start of their preseason. However, before that, they had to glam up for the traditional preseason photo shoot.

This week, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, hosted Fever Media Day. As expected, Clark was the star of the show, even sparking an adorable viral moment with an emotional support dog sporting her uniform.

Clark bulked up in the offseason

The Fever quickly shared images from the session on social media, and fans immediately noticed Clark’s physical transformation. The photos leave no doubt-after a rookie season spent battling bigger, stronger veterans, the star guard put in serious work and packed on muscle.

Upon arriving at training camp, the former Iowa Hawkeyes standout made it clear that adding strength was her top priority:

That was my biggest focus this offseason-just trying to get stronger and really working on that.

During her rookie campaign, Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game. Now, with a stronger physique and Stephanie White as her new head coach, there’s little doubt she’s poised to surpass those numbers.

What’s next for Clark and the Fever?

Indiana opens its preseason this Saturday, May 3, against the Washington Mystics at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Two weeks later, on Saturday, May 17, they tip off the regular season against Angel Reese’sChicago Sky.

If Clark’s new physique and attitude are any indication, the Fever will be a serious contender for a deep postseason run-once again proving that hard work pays off.
