The Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis hosted the Indiana Fever‘s WNBA season opener that started in the best way: defeating Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky 93-58.

Caitlin Clark, in her second season in the league, led Indiana with a historic triple-double, 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. It was a performance worthy of admiration that led her to equal Candace Parker and rank third in WNBA history with the most triple-doubles.

And the reasons to celebrate just keep coming for CC. The sportswear brand SLAM announced Clark as the visible face of this WNBA season and that her face will be on the cover of their magazine. Of course, after this announcement, Caitlin and Indiana Fever fans rushed to the site in order to get their hands on the “Gold Metal” edition, but they got an unpleasant surprise: they were sold out.

Considering that the number of sports fans has grown in recent years and even more with the arrival of figures like Clark, and that Fever’s fans have been lining up for hours to see her in action, this was bound to happen.

In the post that SLAM published in its official X account, the users left their comments after what happened: “And it’s sold out” commented with disappointment one of the followers, “it’s been TWO MINUTES. CAN YALL BE SERIOUS,” commented another. “They didn’t even let me think about it because it’s already sold out, hahaha, I love us,” ‘You released this when I was busy now the gold is sold out”, “My Goat” wrote other fans.
