Unrivaled has gotten off to a good start in the world of women’s sports. The initiative of this project is admirable, something very different from what we are used to seeing.

From changing the rules to a 3-on-3 to fairer salaries, this new league wants to strengthen women’s sports, and its start has lived up to expectations.

This project brings together 36 WNBA players in 6 teams with the same goal of revolutionizing and setting an example for women to continue to raise the bar in the sport.

Of course, some fans believe that a very important name is missing in this new league, and that is that behind the ball, we have many who decided to invest, but at the end of the day we may be missing a female player.

Unrivaled would miss Caitlin Clark in their project

It is no secret that Clark is certainly the face of the WNBA, the Indiana Fever player turned down a $1 million offer to join the league. For now, she has not given many explanations for her decision, but obviously the fans were very disappointed and to this day they ask to sign her as her impact would draw more attention, but it seems that now Caitlin is not very eager to be part of Unrivaled.

Great numbers for the premiere of the new league; what would have happened with the Caitlin effect?

TNT Sports reports that the launch of Unrivaled broke viewership records such as The most-watched women’s basketball game on TNT Sports, the most-watched game on Sports on Max and 31 million views on Bleacher Report, crazy numbers.

What a way to debut, posting impressive numbers that are sure to set a tone and an audience following.

While at the LPGA for the Annika Pro Am, Caitlin‘s social media content garnered 7.3 million interactions. The Clark effect is on a different level.

The 23-year-old reportedly generated 26% of the league’s revenue last season, with one in six votes tied to her name. Indiana Fever games also contributed 45% to the league’s broadcast rights fee.

A relationship between Unrivaled and Caitlin Clark would be something that the project lacks to consolidate itself as a top alternative, but for now they will have to work on other projects, it seems that the Indiana star does not close the doors to the possibility of playing there, we will see what the future holds.
