Caitlin Clark‘s Indiana Fever continue to find new reasons to celebrate, and this week, it was Chloe Bibby‘s breakthrough that brought fresh energy to the team. After arriving on a short-term deal, Bibby‘s instant impact has not only won over her teammates, but convinced head coach Stephanie White that she belongs in Indiana for the rest of the season.

Bibby, an Australian forward known for her grit and outside shooting, first joined the Fever on a seven-day contract late in July.

It didn’t take long for her to show exactly why she deserved a longer stay. In just her first two appearances, Bibby averaged 9 points per game, shot 44.4 percent from the field, and connected on half of her three-point attempts.

Her confidence and readiness were on display from the moment she stepped onto the floor. In her debut against the Chicago Sky, Bibby put up eight points in only 11 minutes, helping the Fever to a comfortable 93-78 victory.

The very next game, she went even further, contributing 10 points-including two clutch three-pointers-in 13 minutes to power Indiana to a 107-101 win over the Phoenix Mercury.

A new spark as Fever look to the future

It’s not just the stats that have caught the attention of coach Stephanie White. Bibby‘s energy, effort, and quick chemistry with her new teammates made her stand out right away. White, who has overseen Indiana’s steady climb in the standings, was quick to secure Bibby for the rest of the season-a decision Clark and the team fully supported.

Caitlin Clark, who has been at the heart of the Fever‘s resurgence, is among those excited to see what Bibby can continue to bring. The rookie sensation has often spoken about the importance of role players and the energy that newcomers can provide, especially as the team faces a crucial road stretch in August.

Now, with Bibby officially signed for the remainder of the season, the Fever begin a four-game road trip starting August 1 against the Dallas Wings.

They’ll then head to Seattle to play the Storm in another key matchup, both games offering Bibby more chances to prove she belongs on this stage.

For Bibby, the full-season contract is a significant milestone-proof that hard work and readiness pay off, even when the opportunity is brief.

For the Fever, it’s another example of how the right addition at the right time can change a team’s fortunes. With Caitlin Clark, Stephanie White, and now Chloe Bibby all pulling in the same direction, Indiana looks determined to keep its momentum going all the way to the postseason.
