Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson has added another milestone to her growing legacy-this time off the basketball court. Her first signature sneaker, the Nike A’One, sold out within five minutes of its highly anticipated release on Tuesday morning, proving the WNBA’s rising influence in the sneaker market.

Wilson’s journey to having her own signature shoe began in May 2024, when Nike announced she would join an exclusive group of WNBA legends-including Sheryl Swoopes, Rebecca Lobo,Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, and Breanna Stewart-as one of the few female players to receive a custom sneaker.

The pink A’One colorway, priced at $110 for adults and $90 for grade-school sizes, dropped at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday. By 10:05 a.m., Nike’s website displayed an out-of-stock banner, leaving many eager fans empty-handed but wait, there is no fear there is good news ahead.

Restocks and upcoming releases

Wilson quickly reassured her fans via Instagram, saying, “If you missed the A’One, don’t worry. We’re dropping again Thursday at Nike stores and other spots everywhere. I do this for the real ones, always.” This has everyone happy.

Nike confirmed that the pink version will be restocked Thursday, with the blue Indigo Girl and white OG Pearl colorways set to hit shelves on May 17. However, with the high demand, resale sites are already listing the shoes for over $230-more than double the original retail price.

The three-time WNBA MVP has been a force in the league since being drafted first overall in 2018. She led the WNBA in scoring in 2024 and has won Defensive Player of the Year twice. Now, as Wilson and the Aces push for another championship, she’s proving that her impact extends beyond basketball-cementing herself as a cultural and business powerhouse.
