Brittany Mahomes has made her opinion clear on Taylor Swift‘s latest musical project, offering an emphatic four-word reaction that underscored the connection between the Kansas City Chiefs‘ high-profile circle and the pop icon.

Swift, who is in a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, during an appearance on the New Heights podcast with her man and Jason Kelce.

The singer revealed the album’s release date and cover art, later sharing additional promotional images on social media that featured elaborate costumes and performance-inspired attire.

In response to Swift‘s final “showgirl” promotional pose, Brittany commented, “This is SO GOOD,” along with four fire emojis – an endorsement that quickly gained attention among fans.

The pair have become close friends since Swift began frequenting the Arrowhead Stadium in support of Kelce, with the two women finding themselves in close proximity thanks to Travis; friendship with Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback.

They now have a bond and camaraderie that isn’t limited to just the NFL nights and venues across the United States either, celebrating occasions together and attending other sports events such as the US Open in tennis.

There was a slight fear the relationship might have collapsed following the run up to the 2024 United States Presidential Election when Swift endorsed the Democrat’s Kamala Harris whilst Mahomes appeared to back the Republicans.

But now it seems as though both women have managed to set that aside and move past the moment to continue resuming their friendship, at a vital time ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 NFL season in September.

Mahomes reveals he knew about Swift’s 12th album ahead of time

Meanwhile Mahomes revealed this week that his wife had actually learned about Swift‘s upcoming The Life of a Showgirl album before it was made public on the New Heights podcast on Tuesday, August 12 and spilled the news to him.

Speaking at a Kansas City Chiefs press conference on August 13, the quarterback explained that the news came shortly after the Eras Tour star recorded her New Heights appearance.

“They called me after the podcast was done,” Patrick said. “They didn’t call me, they called Brittany, and I was in the back of the FaceTime. It surprised me too.

“I’m obviously super excited. Just knowing Taylor and seeing the process from just a little bit closer of how she makes the albums, it’s going to be amazing because of how much work she puts into it.

“What better place to announce it than the New Heights podcast where I feel like she can be herself and showcase who she is? People are going to be really excited to watch it tonight [August 13].”
