There isn’t much for Dallas Cowboys fans to get excited about at this moment in time. Despite competing at a decent level in most games this season, the Cowboys have a losing record and are coming off of their worst loss of the season. Dallas had been able to hang their hat on the team’s offense for the majority of their games, but the Denver Broncos exposed Dak Prescott and co.
Prescott threw two interceptions and took two sacks. His chemistry with his top two wide receivers wasn’t tarnished, though; both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens caught seven passes each and topped 74 yards. Even though head coach Brian Schottenheimer hasn’t had the cleanest debut season, there’s no denying he’s been a positive influence for the offense.
Schottenheimer has had Prescott playing at a high level, and weapons like Lamb, Pickens and Javonte Williams are having outstanding seasons. In particular, it seems like Schottenheimer is very in tune with his top wideouts. Their relationship is a tell that the vibes remain high in Dallas despite having a losing record.
CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens seem to really like Brian Schottenheimer
During practice this week, Pickens and Lamb showcased their friendship, with the latter wearing a white ski mask a la Pickens. Schottenheimer loved the matching attire, and it seems that he wanted in on the action, too.
When Schottenheimer was hired as Mike McCarthy‘s replacement, there was quite a bit of pushback due to his coaching history. He has proven to be a more than capable head coach, and he is leading arguably the best offense of his career. His relationship with his top players seems to be helping in that regard.
