There’s no doubt that the New York Giants made a statement to open Week 6 of the NFL season, not only defeating but dominating the Philadelphia Eagles, 34-17. The Giants controlled every aspect of the game, and of course, Jaxson Dart delivered a dream performance at MetLife Stadium. The excitement surrounding the former Ole Miss quarterback is growing fast.

Dart shined by making key plays throughout the game, completing 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown to Wan’Dale Robinson. He also rushed for 58 yards and another score, which came on the Giants’ opening drive. Dart has played two home games this season – and has won both, against the Chargers and now the Eagles.

The spotlight wasn’t only on Dart, though. Rookie running back Cam Skattebo, who has already earned the starting job, also stole the show. The former Arizona State standout had the best performance of his young NFL career, rushing 19 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns.

Brian Daboll to be fined for entering the “Medical Tent”

During the third quarter of the game between the Giants and Eagles, Jaxson Dart took a hard hit on a sack, left the field, and was immediately placed under concussion protocol.

He was taken to the “medical tent,” where NFL rules state that only essential medical personnel are allowed during evaluation. Coaches, other players, and administrative staff are not permitted inside. However, both Brian Daboll and rookie Cam Skattebo entered the tent, violating the policy.

According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the New York Giants are expecting a “hefty fine.” The team is aware of Head Coach Brian Daboll’s mistake. The incident occurred shortly after Russell Wilson – who came in for Dart – threw a terrible pass, prompting a moment of frustration from Daboll.

What’s clear is that in his three starts, Jaxson Dart’s talent and energy have breathed new life into a New York Giants team that once seemed lost. The Giants now sit at 2-4, but with this level of play, it looks like they’re ready to start competing seriously in 2025.
