The Green Bay Packers managed to reach the postseason, but only by the slimmest of margins. It was vital for them to make significant moves during this free agency period to continue surrounding Jordan Love with talent.

The Packers aim to reclaim the NFC North throne, which is why they are actively pursuing the best available players to strengthen the franchise and build a roster capable of competing for what they believe is rightfully theirs.

Now, discussions have emerged about a potential trade involving wide receivers between the Packers and the Baltimore Ravens.

The potential trade between the Ravens and Packers

It is being reported that wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks could serve as the key asset in a deal that would send him from Green Bay to the Baltimore Ravens.

Wicks entered the league with the Packers in 2023 via the draft out of Virginia and quickly became a promising piece for the team, despite having limited opportunities to showcase his talent.

These were his numbers in 2025:

  • 14 games
  • 30 receptions
  • 332 yards
  • 2 touchdowns
  • 46 targets

At first glance, those numbers may not seem impressive, but it is difficult to stand out when sharing the field with a wide receiver group that includes:

  • Romeo Doubs
  • Christian Watson
  • Jayden Reed
  • Matthew Golden

A change of scenery could benefit Dontayvion significantly. In Green Bay, it currently appears unlikely that he will secure a leading role. According to Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton, this could be the ideal moment for him to move to Baltimore.

At 6-1 and 206 pounds, Wicks can be a big-bodied X receiver in the Ravens offense who’s a threat in the red zone.”… “In his first two seasons, he caught nine touchdown passes while on the field for less than 55 percent of the Packers’ offensive snaps.

Such a move would provide Wicks with a greater opportunity to develop his potential and take on a more prominent role within an offense that could maximize his physical attributes and red-zone effectiveness.

For the Ravens, adding a receiver with his size and upside could complement their offensive scheme, giving them another reliable target capable of making an impact in key situations.

Meanwhile, for the Packers, moving Wicks could open space within an already crowded receiving corps, allowing them to redistribute targets and potentially address other roster needs through the trade.

As free agency continues to unfold, this potential deal stands out as one of the most intriguing scenarios, reflecting both teams’ intentions to reshape their rosters and remain competitive in their respective conferences.
