Baker Mayfield’s new hair color stuns at Bucs charity event

Baker Mayfield might be gearing up for the 2025 NFL season, but on Tuesday afternoon, he let a pair of pint-sized stylists give him a completely different kind of makeover.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted their annual “Cut and Color Funds the Cure” event to support the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and Mayfield was more than game to get involved – literally putting his head in the hands of childhood cancer survivors wielding cans of red and creamsicle-orange spray paint.

The quarterback wasn’t alone. General Manager Jason Licht and All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr. joined him in going full creamsicle, matching split-color hairdos that made it clear this event is as much about team spirit as it is about heart.

Left tackle Tristan Wirfs and rookie lineman Graham Barton raised the bar (and the brows) by adding hair extensions to their colorful designs. Wirfs sported one red and one orange extension to complement his look, flipping his hair as he left his stylist’s chair with a cheeky “Does it look good?” Barton, meanwhile, opted for short orange bangs in front with a long ponytail in the back – a creamsicle mullet, if you will.

The event wasn’t just for laughs. Now in its 11th year, “Cut and Color Funds the Cure” has brought in more than $760,000 over the years, including nearly $80,000 already raised for 2025. Bucs COO Brian Ford, who got his head shaved again this year, raised over $66,000 himself.

Even 6-foot-5 right tackle Luke Goedeke got in on the fun, crouching low so his young stylist, Hannah, could reach the top of his head. “Will you make me look pretty?” he asked. Her response? “Yes.” And just like that, the creamsicle crown was complete.

The Bucs’ off-field efforts continue to match their on-field intensity – this time, one burst of color at a time.
