Stephen Curry has been able to shine on the court since he was selected seventh overall in the 2009 draft by the Golden State Warriors. Despite his extensive NBA career, that’s not the only area in which the 37-year-old point guard.
Last week the 2022 Finals MVP announced the official release of his new book “Shot Ready” and received the support of a very special person: his wife.
Ayesha steals the show
Heading into his 17th season in the NBA, the Warriors icon has decided to pour his experience and wisdom in the sport into this new project, accompanied by iconic career photographs and powerful reflections.
“More than a story about basketball, it’s a story about belief, resilience, and doing the work when no one’s watching. For every young dreamer who’s ever been underestimated: this one’s for you,” Steph wrote on his official X account when announcing his new book.
Despite the various events to raise awareness of ‘Shot Ready‘, such as his appearance on the TODAY show, and the publicity invested, the one who really got all the attention was Ayesha Curry, his wife.
The mother of hisfour children -Riley, Ryan, Canon and Caius- shared four photos with the eleven-time NBA All-Star to celebrate her husband’s accomplishments on her official Instagram account.. In addition, in the description of the publication, Ayesha left a touching message to the Golden State star:
“Headed to listen to my baby drop gems. His new book #shotready is available now. So proud of you @stephencurry30 … you are indeed an inspiration to myself and so many others. Consistently and endlessly in awe. I love you,” she wrote.
The post quickly gained traction among fans and already has more than 99,150 ‘likes’. Also, in the comments section the love and admiration for the couple was the main topic for their followers: “Not regular parents, the coolest ones” wrote one of them. “My favorite Familia,” commented another user along with several heart emojis. “Excited to read it! Congrats,” stated another user in reference to ‘Shot Ready’.
In addition, among the most notable comments were from cookbook author Amanda K Haas, who wrote “I love you guys, you gorgeous things!“, and Miss Universe Canada finalist Stephanie Atkinson: “Wow, these photos will go down in history,” she said.
This book is part of a three-book series that Curry plans to release to the public thanks to an agreement with the One World imprint.
This is not Stephen’s first foray into the world of literature, having previously published two picture books for children under the Penguin Young Readers imprint.
