Boxing fans are in for an epic fight as Artur Beterbiev, the undisputed light heavyweight champion, will defend his title against Dmitry Bivol, the former champion, on Sunday, February 23, in what promises to be an exciting rematch.

The fight will take place in Saudi Arabia and will be broadcast live on DAZN PPV worldwide.

Beterbiev, a boxer with an impressive record of 21 wins, all by knockout, has dominated the light heavyweight division since 2017, when he was crowned IBF champion. Since then, he has added the WBC and WBO belts to his collection

Both fighters promise a great fight

At 40 years of age, the Russian-born Canadian remains an unstoppable force, and although his knockout record is perfect, he himself has acknowledged that there is always something to improve.

“We know what to correct and what to improve. We’ve worked on that, so let’s see what happens,” Beterbiev said confidently before the fight.

On the other hand, Dmitry Bivol, with a record of 23 wins and only one loss, is also eager to redeem himself. The Russian, who won the WBA interim title in 2016, quickly rose to full-time champion and made a significant mark on boxing by defeating the likes of Canelo Alvarez and Gilberto Ramirez.

However, his first clash with Beterbiev ended in defeat, and now, at 34, he is looking for revenge.

“I just need to get better in all areas. I need to be faster, stronger and smarter. Everything has to improve,” Bivol said, who seems to be more focused than ever.

Betting euphoria

With the odds against him, Beterbiev is the favorite to win the rematch, with odds of $1.81, while Bivol has odds of $2.12. The fight promises to be a high-level encounter, where both fighters will be looking to prove that they are at the top of their game.

On the other hand, the odds of winning the rest of the fights on the card favor Joseph Parker taking the title from champion Daniel Dubois; Shakur Stevenson over Floyd Schofield; Hamzah Sheeraz with better odds over Carlos Adames; and Israil Madrimov over champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. But like any bet, this is a risky proposition.
