One of the top teams in need of a quarterback is undoubtedly the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are still waiting for an answer from Aaron Rodgers to see if he will play with them next season- a situation that has the team’s management, and especially the fans, growing increasingly desperate.

Currently, the Steelers have three quarterbacks on the roster:Mason Rudolph, a veteran who has spent several seasons with the team; Skyler Thompson, who was recently acquired in free agency; and rookie Will Howard, selected in the sixth round of the latest Draft.

Among these three, the Steelers’ starting quarterback for the upcoming season will be chosen, which is certainly a cause for concern for the team. Aaron Rodgers could end up becoming the villain in the eyes of Pittsburgh fans.

Steelers will keep looking for a quarterback next year

Next year’s quarterback class is completely different from this year’s-full of much more talent. The names stealing the spotlight are undoubtedly Arch Manning from the Texas Longhorns and Drew Allar from Penn State, making it clear that the Steelers will be heavily involved in that market.

Adam Schefter of ESPN confirmed that the Steelers will be looking for a new face of the franchise next year, so Pittsburgh will be one of the teams to watch during the next offseason.

“We also know that, regardless of whether they sign Aaron Rodgers or not, they’ll likely be back in the quarterback market again,” said Schefter. “So when you have all these draft picks and a strong quarterback class, and the draft is being held in your city, it suddenly becomes very interesting to see how Pittsburgh decides to use its draft capital-whether they’ll make an aggressive move to trade up and get a quarterback, and how the city will react to seeing them use what is currently projected to be 12 picks,” Schefter said on his podcast.

For now, the Steelers have to figure out how to move forward in 2025 at the quarterback position, and their biggest wish is that it will be Aaron Rodgers-but they’re still waiting for his answer.
