There likely wasn’t a single player in the NFL last season that took a bigger leap than Drake Maye. Maye had already put together a competent rookie season for the New England Patriots in 2024, but with Josh McDaniels as the new offensive coordinator in 2025, Maye exploded onto the scene with a near-MVP season.
The sky is the limit now for the 23-year-old. Everyone is waiting to see how he fares following his breakout season. That breakout season also came with a lot of off-field attention into the quarterback’s personal life. That meant more exposure for his wife, Ann Michael Maye, who became somewhat of a social media darling during the Patriots’ Super Bowl run.
The two have known each other since middle school, and got married last summer. With Ann Michael becoming a known presence on social media, she’s been using her platform for good. The Maye couple took things up a notch with a special move this week.
Drake Maye cuts off hair for charity with Ann Michael’s help
In order to raise money for charity, Ann Michael pulled out the clippers and gave Drake a buzzcut. It wasn’t easy for Ann Michael, though, as a hairstylist had to step in and take over in order for the Patriots player to get a proper cut.
It was a nice moment for the Maye family, and it was for a great cause. Drake already had relatively short hair, so it shouldn’t take long for it to grow back. The buzzcut fits him well, regardless.
