Angel Reese is one of the most exciting basketball players and her determination to win is second to none. She’s getting ready for her second year with WNBA’s Chicago Sky, where she had an historic rookie season after being selected seventh overall in the 2024 Draft.

The former LSU Tiger had the best rebounding season by any player in league history at the time of her final 2024, averaging a league-record 13.1 boards per game and being the fastest player to reach 400 rebounds in WNBA history.

Reese’s been workin on her shooting skills

Angel Reese is improving her three-point shooting skills with the Rose Basketball Club roster, a 3v3 women’s team that is part of the Unrivaled Women’s Basketball League. Reese’s teammates include Lexie Hull, a standout for the Indiana Fever,Chelsea Gray, a point guard for the Las Vegas Aces, and Brittney Sykes, guard for the Washington Mystics, among other WNBA’s stars.

And her new team has taken notice of the “Barbie 305” work in the lab, as they posted a video of Reese’s three-point shooting drills, with the caption “She never wants to leave” as she makes shot after shot with flow and tecnique.

The WNBA superstar has algo been working in her inside game as well as her passing skills, work that would definitely is going to show next season. Reese’s seven consecutive double-doubles set the all-time record for consecutive games with a double-double by a first.year player all time.

Reese’s a rebound machine

After the All-Star/Olympic break, Reese became the first player in WNBA history with three consecutive games with 20 or more rebounds. She finished with a double-double in each of those games. That three-game stretch included Reese’s career high for rebounds in a single game, when she notched 22 against Las Vegas.

Her 22 rebounds were the most in a single game by any player in the league in the 2024 season and are tied for the most in a single game in Chicago Sky’s history (Sylvia Fowles, 2013). She averaged 14.3 points, 20.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks from Aug. 18-25.

Angel finished the 2024 season with a trio of impressive performances. She recorded 17 points and 19 rebounds on the road against Minnesota Sept. 1, becoming the fastest player in league history to reach 400+ rebounds. In a Sept. 6 win over Los Angeles, Reese recorded 24 points and 12 rebounds. And fans expect more from one of the most exciting basketball players for the 2025 season.
